Anew provides free support services for pregnant women and new mothers in the areas of parenting, emotional wellbeing, homelessness and housing.<\/h3>\n

Through our services, we aspire to:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Provide<\/strong> parenting support programmes to assist both children and their parents to ensure effective family functioning.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Encourage<\/strong> early participation in our services to ensure assure that women are well-equipped to support and promote the wellbeing of their children.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Equip<\/strong> new mothers with the skills to keep their children protected from harm by practicing timely intervention.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The outcomes of our services are closely aligned with Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures: The National Policy Framework for Children and Young People, 2014 – 2020<\/em><\/a>. Better Outcomes: Brighter Futures was the first overarching national policy framework for children and young people aged from birth to 24 years implemented by the Department of Children and Young Affairs in collaboration with all Government departments and key State agencies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    However, this policy concluded in 2020 with Children\u2019s Minister Roderic O\u2019Gorman confirming that a new framework for children and young people will not be developed until 2022 due to Covid-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    \u2022 Children and parents and other adults who need supports to ensure effective family functioning receive them through our parenting support programmes<\/div>\n
    \u2022 Early participation in our services will ensure that women are well-equipped to support and promote the well-being of their children in to the future.<\/div>\n
    \u2022 Timely intervention from our staff equips new mothers with the skills to keep their children protected from harm.<\/div>\n
    \u2022 Babies in our service who need protection from intentional or unintentional harm receive a timely and appropriate response to their needs within Anew.<\/div>\n
    \u2022 Women who have children in care are well-supported to achieve their potential in terms of health, educational and well-being outcomes in ways that contribute to a positive life trajectory.<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
