The organisation was established in 1981 to provide support and accommodation to pregnant women who were excluded and often homeless. Since then, needs have changed and Anew has evolved in line with this. While women still need support, the social environment is very different and their needs reflect this.
We are seeing increased needs in the areas of homelessness, parenting support and maternal support. We offer services in these areas based on the values of:
We take personal responsibility for using our resources efficiently, achieving measurable results, and being accountable to supporters, partners and, most of all, the women, children and families who we work with.
We aim to bring out the potential in people including our staff as well as the women and families that we work with
We think, feel, listen, see and understand with those who use our services
We strive for excellence in all that we do
It should be more than “just good enough”
Our service should be excellent because everyone deserves it
We provide a safe non judgemental place for the women and families who use our services
We reassure, respect and provide an environment of trust
